Vulcano Outdoor Sofa
Intertwining, a theme particularly dear to Flexform and which has inspired numerous products in the indoor collection in the past, is the characterizing motif of the Vulcano seating system. The key themes of flexibility in terms of composition and a high degree of customization, combined with a passionate research on materials that guarantee high performance in outdoor environments, are the basis of the Vulcano sofa project. The base of the sofa is made of marine plywood while the structure of the armrests and backrests is in austenitic 316 stainless steel, a superalloy capable of guaranteeing high performance outdoors and is covered with a sophisticated weave in polypropylene fiber or in polyurethane rubber proposed in a refined color palette that ranges from natural tones to burgundy and olive green. The sofa rests on a perimeter frame in 316 austenitic steel and nylon rubber pads. To ensure optimal performance en plein air, all the padding of the cushions are covered with special covers in breathable water-repellent fabric while the wide collection of textile proposals guarantees excellent resistance not only to the action of atmospheric agents and UV rays but also to chlorine and salt. It is highly recommended to use the special covers to keep the Vulcano sofas in good condition and preserve their original state as much as possible.
