Misfit Sofa
The designer models, digs, cuts, replaces the force of nature. Underneath there is no stone or metal, but water-foamed polyurethane foam. The intention is to create a set of modular seats; however the conduct is free, passionate, not subject to the rational rules of industrial design. Each single module is independent; in the juxtaposition, the match is deliberately not sought; continuity, in irregularity, is material and formal. For Moroso's master craftsmen, in making the upholstery fabric adhere to the curved lines and the volumetric play of solids and voids, a manufacturing challenge. The result, an icon of contemporaneity.
Elements with plastic volumes for a sculptural yet highly comfortable seating system. The elements are in injected flame-retardant foam with internal steel structure. Feet in black polypropylene screwed to the structure. The collection is produced, due to the particularity of the shapes, only in Divina by Kvadrat woolen cloth. The Misfits collection is not removable.
