Doo-Wop lamp
Price referred to the White / Gray model

The luminaire, thanks to its conical internal reflector, painted white, directs a soft light downwards. The external reflector, the main screen, helps to direct the light upwards and downwards, spreading, at the same time, a diffused and soft light. The interior of the main screen is illuminated through an opening in the smaller conical reflector.

Product history
Introduced in 1950, this lamp was born from the collaboration between the Navy Buildings Department and Louis Poulsen. The suspension was used for many years in the Navy buildings in different environments: canteens, offices, etc ... The suspension, called "Navy," at that time, was widely used for its unique characteristics. At the beginning of the 1980s, Louis Poulsen stopped production. The design appears timeless but has a strong correlation with the New Look of the 1950s. In 2012, it was reintroduced as Doo-Wop in new colors and a brass version. and in 2017 in copper and stainless steel. The production methods are the same and the diffusers are still handmade and characterized by the rounded edge that gives a special optical volume. The brass variant represents a “challenge” for craftsmen, as it comes from a solid brass plate and has a shiny appearance.
