The device is a luminous sphere formed by small rhomboidal cells. Each cell is carefully designed to capture the light and shield the light source from viewing angles greater than 45 degrees. All the cells shine. Below 45 degrees, the fields are open to direct light downwards. A small amount of light is sent upwards to illuminate the ceiling

Product history
The Patera pendant light by Øivind Slaatto, launched in 2015, as a modern take on the classic chandelier, adds a bright focal point and soft, dynamic light to contemporary spaces. The 360-degree glare-free lighting of the Patera lamp is the result of a complex design of differently positioned cells that flood the surrounding space, people and objects with a uniform, natural and pleasant light. With its elegant shape from every angle and its structure based on the Fibonacci sequence, the lamp gives a different impression from any point of view. "My goal was to create a three-dimensional sudoku puzzle. Mathematics at a high level. It's the most complex lamp I've ever made ... I think it has a certain poetry and my goal was to make a modern crystal chandelier. felt inspired to move around this lamp. I hope it generates life. " (Øivind Slaatto) Sophisticated and daring at the same time, this revisited chandelier is a compelling complement to modern or traditional spaces open to new solutions that start from existing concepts. A single Patera to create a bright focal point. A series of lamps, offset or aligned in one dimension or in three different variants, creates that magical atmosphere that we feel when we look up at a starry sky.
