Chlorophilia is a new project by Ross Lovegrove that once again interprets the artemide expertise in the light engine of the luminous body with its characteristic mark in the organic and fluid forms. It is a highly scenographic but light suspension that is completed when turned on reveals the game of delicate shadows that interact with the space. It consists of a body that houses a COB LED acting as a heat sink and light phytomorphic elements that, made of printed pmma, combine the movement of the surface with soft waves with a discontinuous section that works optically like a lens The suspended central body emits an indirect light which is filtered and refracted by three transparent surfaces which with their natural shape recall natural elements, leaves. These three elements arranged in a radial pattern overlap in part to multiply the play of shadows generating a the scenographic effect on the ceiling is however combined with a correct light output in the the environment.Chlorophilia defines an optical and compositional principle that can be repeated by multiplying its elements to create compositions that develop in space on several levels or extend in width.
