Molteni & C Tables - D.859.1

The D.859.1 table, mainly used as a large conference table, up to ten seats, stands out not only for its imposing dimensions, over 3.60 meters in length, but above all for its refined and essential design.

Made at the time in solid ash with brass tips, it is proposed both in the original version and in a wood with dark shades such as black-stained ash. In addition to the original dimensions, D.859.1 is available in two smaller sizes that faithfully respect the harmony and proportions of the original project.

Molteni & C Tables

When we talk about Molteni tables, we are referring to something much more precious than the simple support of a "Mise en place". Moltesi furnishings are true works of art!

The table presented in this post, for example, is the result of a project that sees Gio Ponti (Giovanni Ponti, known as Gio Milano, November 18, 1891 - Milan, September 16, 1979), the creator of a design object made to last. beyond the very life of the artist, sagist and master of Italian architecture, one of the most important of the twentieth century. Alongside the great architectural works that bear his unmistakable signature, there is a vast production in the furniture sector, as evidenced by his three Milanese houses, completely furnished "alla Ponti": the one in via Randaccio in 1925, Casa Laporte in 1926 in via Brin and the last, in 1957, in via Dezza, the “manifesto” of his domestic design.
