Product history
The project, launched in 2011, went through several phases. The idea of creating a bollard to illuminate the park area was born on the occasion of an exhibition at the Brænderigården center in Viborg, Denmark. The project was carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Viborg, Viborg Energiforyning (Viborg electricity company), the Viborg Art Museum, a team of landscape architects and Louis Poulsen. In 2012, the prototype of the bollard was used for the Viborg exhibition and the feedback was so positive that Louis Poulsen decided to move on to the next stage: the development of a standard product. The new bollard, further optimized in terms of material quality, light distribution and efficiency, was presented at the light + building 2014 fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
