MHC.1 is a re-edition of the prototype of the first modern piece of furniture made by Molteni & C, the chest of drawers designed by Werner Blaser. Never entered production, he won first prize at the Cantù international competition in 1955, the 1st Selective, held to redevelop the Italian productive image. The jury is made up of Gio Ponti, Alvar Alto, Romano Barocchi, Carlo de Carli and Finn Juhl. The construction system based on the simple triple fork junction is particular. After a first limited re-edition of 100 numbered pieces, it is now available in two new unnumbered versions in the new honey-stained emien and black-stained ash finishes.
