As in any Foster + Partners project, the technological component is fundamental. At the base is the idea of a coffee table which, through movements of the tops, acts not only as a support for objects but also allows them to be moved to bring what is needed to the fore. The structure, made of steel, hides a sophisticated translation mechanism of the marble or wood tops, which are very thin but structurally very effective.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Structure: Base in cast aluminum. Upright and shelves in laser-cut steel.
Wood top: Stained solid ash wood (Fraxinus excelsior).
Marble top: Marble in the finishes from the Molteni range with water-repellent stain-resistant treatment.
